Identification You Will Need:
You will need a current US government issued picture ID, such as a driver’s license, state ID card, passport or military ID. The ID cannot be on your phone. It must be the original. If you don’t have current ID, Arizona allows a “credible person” to verify your identity. This is a person who has current ID and who knows you well personally and will swear you are who you say you are.
Cost:
The Arizona Secretary of State determines the fees for notarization, which is $10 per notarial act. Administering an oath, certifying a copy, signing and stamping, and signature witnessing are all notarial acts. Your document will show what notarial acts are required. If I come to you there is a minimum charge based on distance.
Extra Services:
Extra services include scanning and emailing documents, making copies, taking documents to FedEx, UPS or the post office, arranging for witnesses, filing documents with court or other agencies, etc. If there is waiting time, which can happen if the signer is in a facility, there is an hourly charge. Your documents need to be complete. If there is waiting time while the signer completes the documents, there is an hourly charge. If Your Document Requires Witnesses:
If the document requires one or more witnesses, they will need to be there at the time of signing and have current ID. Some documents may not be valid if the witness is related to the signer or benefits from the document. A friend or neighbor makes a good witness. I can provide witnesses but there is an extra fee.
